Are you stuck in a rut and want a slight change in your painting practice?

I think most artists have a yearning to grow and develop but all too often get stuck in a rut, creating time and again only what they are comfortable with.

If you are looking for a new challenge (or a refresher on something you already know) and love the mystery of semi-dimensional texture, Exploring Cold Wax and Oil Paint could be just the class for you!

As a long-time acrylic painter, I, too, have that desire to explore and create in a new medium. When I discovered Cold Wax and Oil painting about 6 years ago, I was instantly hooked, but that doesn’t mean it all came easy to me. I understand the hesitation to try something new. I’m here to make your learning a little less intimidating by sharing with you everything I know about this genre, so that you, too, can grow as an artist.

In this WORKSHOP, we will discover how to use cold wax with oil paint by creating a variety of paintings that range from abstract to fun impressionistic style florals (houses, figures) along full-sized paintings on wood and paper.

Trying something new can be scary, it can also be an investment. But aren’t you worth it? If growth as an artist is a priority, let’s take the mystery out of this medium together. By enrolling in this course, you will have a chance to try out many of the tools needed for this practice without having to purchase all supplies and not knowing what exactly do you do with them all.

Join us for a fun filled workshop full of exciting discovery and creative exploration.

*TRAVEL-Cold wax paintings can take several days to fully dry. If traveling by plane, you may want to make arrangements to ship your paintings home or bring a box the size of 16×16 to add to your suitcase for your paintings.

***Note, we will not be using any turpentine or very strong chemicals in this process, but if you are at all sensitive to fumes, you may want to bring a breathing mask with you.
